Cinema for Peace organises Ai Weiwei interview on Markus Lanz Talkshow

Cinema for Peace organised for artist/activist Ai Weiwei to appear on the Markus Lanz Talkshow to discuss the handling of the COVID19 pandemic in China. This comes after Ai Weiwei’s screening of his film Coronation, which details China’s handling of the pandemic as well as the state-led restrictions on the press and freedom of information that significantly contributed to the massive spread of the virus worldwide. The screening was hosted by Cinema for Peace at the German Parliament and was attended by Joshua Wong and other political activists.

Ai Weiwei has long been a collaborator with Cinema for Peace, and the foundation was excited to see his views on the pandemic broadcast on national television.
